The President's Award for Excellence in Graduate Supervision was created in 1996 to recognize outstanding supervisory and mentoring skills. Graduate students may nominate supervisors from the Faculties of Science, Health Sciences and Engineering. Dr. Bone received the award at the Graduate Student Recognition Day in March, 2005. He is only the second candidate from the Faculty of Engineering to win this annual award. He is very dedicated to the mentoring of his graduate students and is honoured to have received this award.
